According to reports, Prince Harry has left admirers and detractors perplexed about his plans for Spare and if his remarks are from a guy "seething with inherited luxury or pragmatically sceptical of his own gilded prison."
Raven Smith, a writer for Vogue Online, made this charge in a recent essay.
"Readers and commentators are split on whether this tome is an examination of what it means to be the spare to Britain's most famous heir, a study of a life spent in a castle with more leaks than the Titanic, or a sort of slow-release retribution," the author said, questioning Prince Harry's intentions.
"At times, it's difficult to tell whether Harry is enraged by inherited luxury or pragmatically sceptical of his own gilded prison. Is he putting the record straight, or just adding fuel to the rumour mill?"
