George Clooney just made a stunning announcement regarding the cast of Ocean's Eleven, which will be released in 2021.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Clooney revealed both Johnny Depp and Mark Wahlberg initially turned down the part of Linus Caldwell, replaced by Matt Damon in the film.
"Some very famous people told us that it was Mark Wahlberg and Johnny Depp," the Academy Award winner stated at the TCM Classic Film Festival in Los Angeles.
Clooney went on to say, "They regret it now."
Clooney recently appeared alongside Ocean's Eleven director Steven Soderbergh to commemorate the film's 21st anniversary.
Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Andy Garcia, Elliott Gould, Casey Affleck, and the late Bernie Mac were among the other cast members.
Meanwhile, the actor assumed that Soderbergh's name would suffice for the star-studded cast.
"Steven had just directed Erin Brockovich and Traffic, and he was nominated for both." As a result, people were eager to work with Steven," Clooney remarked.
