Elon Musk, the owner of X, and Chief Executive Linda Yaccarino, the former CEO of Twitter, will both manage the business's trust and safety team, the social media company announced on Monday.
Musk will lead X's product and engineering teams, while Yaccarino will handle all other departments, including human resources, legal, finance, sales, and operations, according to X.
The platform's trust and safety team, which is in charge of content monitoring, has been under fire since Musk bought the firm last October. Researchers have accused X of loosening content guardrails, resulting in an increase in hazardous messages. According to the firm, the majority of content views are for "healthy" topics.
Yaccarino stated in an email to X workers on Monday, which was published by Reuters, that the business is looking for a new head for brand safety and suitability.
A.J. Brown, the former head of brand safety, who focused on attempts to prevent advertising from appearing next to inappropriate content, departed the firm last month.
According to Yaccarino's email, three X leaders would handle various duties under trust and safety, such as law enforcement operations and threat disruptions.
The reforms to trust and safety came after Ella Irwin stepped down as team leader in June.
