Google is apparently working on the next Pixel Watch edition, which might be released later this year. The Pixel Watch 2 has been rumoured for some time, with leaks disclosing some of the expected features and specs of the rumoured wristwatch. The future Pixel Watch's watch faces, as well as colour palettes and a few other critical elements, have been disclosed in the newest update. The Pixel Watch 2 is rumoured to come with four distinct watch face options from Google.
According to Android Authority, citing an unnamed Google insider, the rumoured Pixel Watch 2 will receive four new watch face packs, notably Accessible, Arc, Bold Digital, and Analogue Bold. The Accessible watch faces are stated to feature four categories: Just Time, Circular, Linear, and Stacked Time, whilst the Arc watch faces are said to be extremely customizable with three. According to the study, each Arc category would have two sub-categories with two or four complication spots.
Furthermore, the Bold Digital watch faces are said to come in two variations: Just Time and Radial. This watch face is likely to include a large, overlapping typeface and a variety of hues. Then there's the Analogue Bold watch face, which has four hands and big numerals. It looks to be a hybrid of the Arc and Bold Digital watch faces. Notably, these watch faces are expected to be limited to the Pixel Watch 2.
Furthermore, the rumour claims that the next Pixel Watch 2 would have dynamic coloration and theming, allowing users to select colours from a variety of alternatives. The smartwatch is also expected to come with Wear OS 4.
Aside from this, a recent 9to5 Google story says that the future Pixel Watch 2 may have an aluminium casing, making it somewhat lighter than the first Pixel Watch.
Previously, it was claimed that the Pixel Watch 2 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 series processor, which may be either the Snapdragon W5 or Snapdragon W5+ platform. The Pixel Watch from last year is powered by a Samsung-made Exynos 9110 SoC.
