Kensington Palace's communications team has been chastised for responding to a tweet for "an important cause" after seven days.
BTP Federation released a video in a tweet to emphasise the relevance of hiking and mental health.
The July 28 tweet states, "A little more blister chat and a reminder of why Stuart Cowan from BTP Federation and Gary Thwaite of Civil Nuclear Pol Federation are hiking 500km in two weeks."
Kensington Palace's eight-person crew waited seven days to respond to the post.
