Apple Music has begun rolling out a new customised radio station option to its customers without any formal notice. The new customised radio channel, dubbed Discovery channel, is said to assist consumers discover new music based on their listening history. The function is comparable to Spotify's Discover Weekly playlist, which is available on Apple Music's competitor music streaming platform. The new playlist-recommendation tool is expected to be available globally soon. However, Apple has yet to share specifics on how it would work.

The new Discovery Station, according to the source, was initially detected by users on August 7 and is progressively being rolled out to all users worldwide. The new feature is accessible via the 'Listen Now' tab in the 'Stations for You' section of the Apple Music app.
According to the source, Apple Music's new Discovery Station may not play music from the library or playlists. Instead, it will play songs that are similar to the user's listening history but have never been played before by the user.
Apple Music provides 25 songs each playlist that is updated weekly. Subscribers to the new Discovery station, on the other hand, will have access to over 100 million songs. Apple Music Classical, a specialised classical music app, was released earlier this year. With over 5 million recordings, it claims to have the world's largest classical music archive. The app is available for free to Apple Music members in all countries where Apple Music is available, with the exception of China, Japan, South Korea, Russia, Taiwan, and Turkey.
