For £6, British musician Harry Styles acquired a portrait of himself painted by comedian Joe Lycett. Joe created it as a pastiche of the original painting created by David Hockney for the National Portrait Gallery.
The Watermelon Sugar singer quickly contacted the comedian after making the spoof, despite the fact that his followers think it looks "more like Alan Carr." Joe posted numerous humorous images of the two bargaining until he finally caved and agreed to sell the artwork to Harry.
In the messages, Harry can be heard stating, "I believe it is extremely important that I purchase this portrait from you." If you ever consider selling this masterpiece, I'd want to have it hung in my house right away."
Joe offered a price right away: "I'll give it to you for £8," whereas Harry pleaded for £6 instead. "£6.50 final offer," Joe finally offered before changing his mind: "Or £6 and a KitKat chunky peanut butter."
"Long story short," the comedian captioned the photo, "I just organised a £6 BACS transfer with Harry Styles."
"I can definitely see the likeness... to his cardigan," one admirer said of the image, while another added, "I'm getting Alan Carr vibes personally."
