According to an expert, people have ceased taking the British royal family seriously as a result of recent issues surrounding the Windsors.
The British royal family has been dubbed "the Kardashian with crowns" by an Australian royal pundit.
According to Angela Mollard of express.co.uk, the royal family members are viewed as "light entertainment" by the general population.
She believes that young people are more interested in theatre than in the history of the Royal Family.
"We might not have the reverence we afforded the late Queen Elizabeth, but Megxit, Spare, and The Crown have repositioned the royals as light entertainment for a generation who engages more with drama and less with history," she wrote in the Mail.
""However disrespectful it may sound, the royal family are the Kardashians with crowns for many younger Australians," the expert noted.
She claims that the Sussexes are a "money-spinner" for the tabloid magazine business and that she is frequently questioned about them by the public.
The royal family has lately been embroiled in scandals over Prince Andrew's sex scandal and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's departure from the United Kingdom.
While Harry and Meghan continue to attack the royal family from California, where they went after standing down as working royals, the late Queen stripped her son Andrew of royal patronages and military titles.
