Neve Campbell explains why she worked on the Scream VII film

 

Neve Campbell recently revealed the rationale for working on a new Scream film.

Neve, who is now promoting the documentary Swan Song, told Entertainment Tonight that she will receive the completed screenplay for Scream VII shortly.

"I'm super grateful that they came around on it, after this many decades of carrying the franchise," added the Sea Wolf actress.

Regarding the salary disagreement for Scream VI, Neve told the source, "To feel undervalued, to feel underpaid, to feel it wouldn't happen to a man, it just didn't make sense to me to walk on set."
"So, I'm glad I stood up for myself," the Agent Crush actress admitted.

In March, Neve allegedly revealed that she will return as Sidney Prescott in the upcoming film.

"They pitched the concept to me, which is why I jumped on board," the Closing the Ring actress explained.

Neve continued, "We're going to follow Sydney" in the next chapter.
Meanwhile, the release date for Scream VII has yet to be announced.
