Katy Perry is reported to appear at the MTV Video Music Awards, with promises of a spectacular concert.
The 39-year-old popstar is allegedly in discussions to perform at the VMAs on September 10, just days before the release of her current album.
An insider told The Sun that Perry is in discussions to make a huge comeback to the VMAs stage.
"Details are still being worked out, but she's a tremendous celebrity, and employers are keen to seal the deal.
The source went on to say, "Katy hasn't performed on the program since 2019, so this is going to be a significant event.
"She's already been travelling the world to promote her new single but next month is set to be even busier for her."
The MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) will be held September 10 at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York.
Perry, who served as a judge on American Idol, will release her highly anticipated seventh studio album, 143, on September 20, her first since 2020's Smile.
