As Prince Harry prepares to celebrate his 40th birthday on September 15, an Express.co.uk poll has fueled speculation about his forthcoming inheritance.
The Duke of Sussex is expected to earn a significant £7 million from a trust fund created by his great-great-grandmother, the Queen Mother.
The respondents were asked: "Should Prince Harry give £7 million back to the Royal Family after inheritance is revealed?" The findings show that readers strongly believe Harry should return the cash to King Charles, with 75% voting yes.
Only 22% feel he is allowed to retain the money, and 3% are doubtful.
This huge bequest will give Harry a bigger proportion than his brother, Prince William, who benefits from the Duchy of Cornwall's riches.
Prince William is apparently unhappy with Prince Harry's impending £7 million inheritance from a trust fund established by their great-great-grandmother, the Queen Mother.
According to a source at Closer Magazine, "William is pretty disgusted that Harry is cashing out on this inheritance without contributing anything in return."
The prospect of Harry profiting from his great-grandmother's money, especially after his public critiques and departure from royal life, left a bad taste in William and Kate's mouths."
Former royal journalist Jennie Bond shared this opinion, claiming that the Queen Mother would be upset with his current condition.
Bond told OK! magazine: "The Queen Mother would have been disheartened to see history repeating itself with Harry's choice to leave royal life and live abroad, much like her brother-in-law King Edward VIII did for Wallis Simpson."
