Prince Harry was overjoyed to receive a surprise for his five-year-old son, Prince Archie.
Meghan Markle departed for California after the first three days of the Invictus Games, therefore the Duke of Sussex is presently in Vancouver, continuing his participation.
While Harry's two children, Archie and Princess Lilibet, aged three, were not present for the occasion, they were remembered when the royal couple received souvenirs and presents for the sportsmen and supporters.
Meghan shared on her Instagram Story that she brought a "taste of Canada" for their children, and Harry has one more present for Archie.
Michael Harrold, an Invictus Games competitor, gave the five-year-old royal model Transformers toys of Megatron and Optimus Prime.
The footballer informed HELLO! that during a breakfast meeting, he got the opportunity to hand over the gifts.
"I asked [Harry] what his best dad joke was, and then I gave him Optimus Prime, and Megatron, two toys from my son to his son," Michael disclosed to the newspaper.
Just hours after they arrived in Vancouver last weekend, Meghan took advantage of the chance to introduce Harry onstage before the Games' opening ceremony.
The Duchess stressed that the Invictus Games athletes and their families were part of her family.
"I need you to know how much it means to him, and how much each of you mean to him," Meghan told the audience. "You, like us, are his family. And I hope you see how much of his heart he has poured into every single beat that has brought all of you to this week that will be unforgettable."
Meanwhile, Harry's family in the United Kingdom has yet to contact him, despite his visit with his cancer-stricken father, King Charles, last year.
