Prince William was at his "lowest" when his adored wife Princess Kate and father, King Charles, were diagnosed with cancer in 2024, according to a former assistant.
amid an interview on a special broadcast of 60 Minutes Australia, Jason Knauf, the Prince and Princess of Wales' former communications secretary, spoke candidly about the future King's actual thoughts amid the royal health crisis.
According to Hello!, "Within a couple of weeks, if you're Prince William, you find out that both your wife and your father have cancer. I could not believe it. It was really bad. It is the lowest I have ever seen him."
Speaking about the controversy that erupted when the Princess disappeared from public view due to chemotherapy, the former aide stated that the royal couple was concerned about the well-being of their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
"The trouble was that all this insane conspiracy theory crap started in the background online. Was she indeed ill? But they didn't want to declare she had cancer yet since they hadn't told the children and were still figuring out how to tell them," Jason explained.
The royal admirer stated that he watched "worried" parents William and Kate behind the scenes as they sought the best timing to share the news of Kate's medical issue.
