One Direction has a fan base unparalleled by any other band in history.
As a result, any misbehavior among its members may instantly enrage the sea of admirers.
Dan Walker, a media personality, has said that he received significant backlash from 1D fans after interviewing one of the pop group's singers.
Walker claimed that he asked Louis Tomlinson a question during a 2020 interview that was not well welcomed by the crowd.
The vocalist from Two of Us came on BBC's Breakfast with Dan to promote his solo album, 'Walls'.
During the show, Dan asked Louis how he was feeling after his mother and sister died.
According to the British journalist, Tomlinson and his devoted supporters took it very terribly.
When he appeared on the Gold Minds podcast, Walker said, "I did an interview with Louis Tomlinson once and I asked him what was a perfectly legitimate question about the death of his mum, and we'd already said to his people that we would ask that, and he took it badly, and wasn't happy with it."
Following the interview, the media personality reported receiving 'death threats'.
He went on to say, "You know what it was like with One Direction? Thousands and thousands of messages came in every ten minutes. I believe five people threatened to murder me that day.
In 2010, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Louis, and Niall Horan established the internationally renowned English-Irish pop boy band.
The band was active until 2016, releasing five albums at that period.
