Prince Harry has begun to feel more distant from his new Hollywood life, while living in a £21.7 million property with Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
According to a close acquaintance, Harry, the Duke of Sussex, laments his former life and struggles to adjust to the Californian lifestyle.
An informant told Heat Magazine that Harry "has ended up isolated from his family and most of his old mates."
"Maybe he's evolved into a new person, but do I believe he'd be suited to the California lifestyle? No. Now that we've seen everything, what does he have left?
"On the surface, an enviable lifestyle — but for the Harry I know, I can't imagine that gilded exile in California is where he wanted to end up."
Meghan, who grew up among television sets and spent six years on the US program Suits, is entirely at ease in the entertainment industry, according to a source.
"Harry has done his best to embrace the Hollywood schmoozing scene and he still does to a degree, but it's by no means top of his priority list," the pair stated.
"He'll go along with it by attending the occasional event, having a drink at a special members club in Hollywood, and making friends with the famous buddies who stop by from time to time.
"But integrating into that scene has become more difficult. Meghan is like a child in a candy store when she's among famous names; she loves and breaths it."
