Richard Zachariah, a beloved 90s TV presenter, died at the age of 80, barely four months after his companion Maggie Tabberer went away.
The television personality, who was best known for hosting Australia's highly regarded The Home Show in the 1980s and 1990s, died on Wednesday, April 9.
Although the reason of Mr. Zachariah's death and other specifics are unknown, the Gueyetts family has organized a burial ceremony for him on April 23 at Eastern Park Chapel in Warrnambool, Victoria.
According to the Express, Zachariah once remarked on the significance of his program, which dominated the 1990s television scene.
"Some people said we were showing houses that Australians couldn't afford...we got more letters from viewers saying, 'I live in a fibro house and I'll never be able to live in the houses we see on the program, but I want to dream so don't dare take them off.'"
This follows the death of his former co-host Maggie, who was 87 at the time.
From 1985 until 1995, their romance made headlines and they were regarded as one of the country's cutest famous couples.
