Brooklyn Beckham's first public comment for father David Beckham has surfaced amid a rumored family feud.
Days after the 50th birthday snub, Brooklyn's interview with The Sunday Times was published on Saturday, with the former footballer's oldest son honoring him at the Formula E Evo Sessions in Miami at the Miami International Autodrome.
"It's something that my dad and I bonded over," Brooklyn said, explaining how he developed an interest in racing when he was "very young."
"My dad's had some pretty cool cars," Brooklyn added in the early March interview, adding that he collected them, with his favorite being a "1954 Jaguar, which I very rarely drive, only when the weather's perfect."
Brooklyn drove the Jaguar I-TYPE 7 for the first time on March 5 at the electric race car event, having earlier stated that he "jumped at the chance" to "get behind the wheel."
Brooklyn's recent interview comes only days after a source informed People Magazine that he and his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham had a poor relationship with David and Victoria, both 51.
"The relationship is definitely not beyond repair," the insider explained. "They love him and are always there for him. They're just upset and unhappy that he's no longer involved in their family life."
Brooklyn and Nicola—who married on April 9, 2022—celebrated their third wedding anniversary last month, but the couple kept quiet when his father and mother's birthdays arrived.
