Buckingham Palace issued a statement on Monday outlining the royal family's plans for the 80th anniversary of VE (Victory in Europe) Day.
It continued: "This week, Their Majesties The King and Queen, together with Members of the Royal Family, will attend events commemorating the 80th Anniversary of VE Day, marking the end of the Second World War in Europe."
The details are as follows:
Monday 5th of May
The King and Queen, along with members of the Royal Family and the Prime Minister, will join veterans of WWII to observe a military procession and flypast.
The King and Queen will hold a Tea Party for veterans and members of the Second World War generation at Buckingham Palace.
Tuesday, May 6th
The Queen will see a new display of ceramic poppies at The Tower of London.
Thursday, May 8th
Their Majesties, together with other members of the Royal Family, will attend a Thanksgiving Service at Westminster Abbey.
The King and Queen will conclude the national VE Day commemorations with a live celebration concert from Horse Guards Parade.
Friday, May 9th thru Saturday, May 10th
The Princess Royal, joined by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, will commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Guernsey and Sark in the Channel Islands.
