Carrie Underwood recently recalled Simon Cowell's evaluation of one of her 2005 American Idol performances.
Now, the 42-year-old has shared her reaction to the legendary judge's view while performing her version of Rascal Flatts' song Bless the Broken Road.
At the time, although admitting that Underwood sang the song "beautifully" and that the performance was "very good," he described her delivery as "robotic."
The Grammy-winning performer responded to the study on her official Instagram account, writing, "He wasn't wrong."
"I'd say he wasn't wrong. I don't know if this is the time to go out on a limb and do something insane," she added.
The American Idol winner said, "So like, picking something that you're comfortable with, but then trying to work with the staging."
"But also, I consider myself a vocalist, and I want to sing well. And if I attempt to concentrate too much about what I'm doing on stage, I notice my voice deteriorate," she explained.
"So [Simon] was not wrong," Carrie Underwood stated.
