Hilaria Baldwin's latest book, Manual Not Included, has some shocking disclosures.
In the book, Alec Baldwin's wife also discussed the 2020 debate about her accent, as reported by People magazine.
Hilaria revealed that she grew up "neurodivergent" and had always struggled to fit in. She admitted that she frequently alternated between English and Spanish and never felt the need to explain herself until she was accused of faking Spanish ethnicity.
However, the criticism was severe, as the American yoga instructor stated, "I was bewildered. I felt lost. I missed my family. I could not eat. I became incredibly slim. I began to question my sanity. I began to doubt whether I was a good person. I went back to what I did as a youngster and began to label myself stupid. When I awoke, I wanted to die. And I became progressively worse."
"I'd sit on my bathroom floor, nursing my baby Edu at 3 a.m., and speak to my brother in Spain, and I'd cry to him, nauseous about it all," Hilaria told me.
Furthermore, Hilaria claimed that she sought therapy and did everything she could, stating, "I went to speech therapy to improve my enunciation. The more I received therapy for the ADHD that I was attempting to ignore, the better I got at separating the two languages and without becoming distracted. I attempted to improve myself in all the areas the online bullies said I was flawed."
"And then I understood that this isn't helping me. I am confused, yet I am not terrible or damaged. "And then Hilaria returned," she explained.
Manual Not Included, authored by Hilaria Baldwin, who has eight children with Alec Baldwin, is expected to be released on May 6.
