Kate Middleton startled everyone with her attendance at Westminster Abbey's Thanksgiving Service commemorating the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
Kate, Prince William's wife, wore an outfit inspired by her mother-in-law Princess Diana to the ceremony.

Kate's white gown included long sleeves and a high neckline, as well as pleats around the waist and neck.
Meanwhile, Diana wore a polka dot white midi dress at Royal Ascot in 1988. Diana's dress also had delicate pleating around the waist.
Princess Diana, the mother of Prince William and Prince Harry, and the former wife of King Charles, died on August 31, 1997.
Notably, Kate Middleton's homage comes only days after Prince Harry's explosive interview.
In an interview with the BBC, the Duke of Sussex made shocking remarks that have apparently exacerbated his separation with the royal family.
Harry stated that he "would love reconciliation" with his father, King Charles, and added, "I don't know how much longer my father has."
He also confessed that certain members of the royal family may never forgive him for the book he published, Spare.
"Some of my family members will never forgive me for writing a book." "Of course, they will never forgive me for many things," the Duke of Sussex stated.
