Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have received disheartening news from the UK, after the duke's words about reconciliation with the royal family.
Richard Palmer, a royal specialist, turned to X, previously Twitter, to post YouGov's May 2025 royal family favourability ratings.
Palmer issued the following statement: "Meghan's popularity with the British public has fallen to the lowest level since @yougov started tracking it in 2017 and Harry's at its lowest since early 2023."
He went on to say, "After that interview, the Sussexes received some troubling results." "The monarchy is still popular."

According to polls, Archie and Lilibet's adoring mother continues to receive low marks from the public, with only 20% favoring her and 65% disapproving.
"Attitudes towards the Sussexes continue to differ greatly between the generations - while 18-24 year olds are split on the pair, they are very widely disliked by the oldest Britons, with 81-86% having an unfavourable view of them," stated YouGov in its analysis of the request for feedback.
The poll findings were published after Prince Harry gave an emotional interview to the BBC about his wish for reconciliation with the rest of the royal family earlier this month.
