Despite their departure from the Royal family and responsibilities, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle maintain their royal status.
Speaking on The Sun's Royal Exclusive podcast, PR expert Mark Borkowski stated that the Duchess of Sussex's usage of the HRH title provides her a social edge because royal ties are regarded as remarkable.
Borkowski stated that the royal title may help her receive preferential treatment or attention in high-profile groups, such as a top table at a restaurant.
This comes after Meghan went for a frank interview on The Jamie Kern Lima Show, when presenter Jamie Kern Lima flaunted the gift basket she received from the Duchess.
The present of handmade strawberry sauce and ice cream came with a letter written "With Compliments of HRH The Duchess of Sussex."
"Well, it's obviously social capital. "I'm sure her personal assistant uses it to ensure she gets the best table at a restaurant," he claimed.
"It will carry a lot of weight in America to still have that regal air surrounding her.
"This is hypocritical. I'm sure she uses it frequently since it is valuable, especially in the social circles she moves in.
"It's not a great look in my estimation."
