Jennie Bond, a royal scholar, has expressed her thoughts on Prince Harry's recent interview in which he claimed to have been the subject of a "establishment stitch-up."
In an interview after losing his appeal against the Home Office, Harry begged his father, the King, to help with security by "getting out of the way and letting the experts do their jobs."
He also expressed his sadness that he will not be able to bring his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to the United Kingdom.
During an interview with GB News presenter Anne Diamond, Jennie was questioned whether she believes the Duke of Sussex is correct or whether he has a "persecution complex."
Anne asked Jennie the following question: "Do you think this interview revealed a persecution complex or is he right?"
She responded, "I believe he has a persecution complex, but I also believe I understand what he is saying. I understand that he believes it is ridiculous that someone who have served as prime minister, for example, for as long as a month or less, should have police protection but he does not.
She noted that it seems reasonable that the amount of danger to Harry and his family would be the same whether he performs royal responsibilities or not.
Jennie agreed, saying: "I understand it when he says that whether or not he's carrying out was royal duties the level of danger of risk to him remains the same, I do understand that but it's gone through several court hearings now several judges in the judgment is that it will be a bespoke level of security."
