Speculation that Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz are at odds with the rest of the Beckhams is reflected in their online activity, as well as the couple's absence from all of his family events this year.
One such incident was last month's argument between Brooklyn's younger siblings Romeo and Cruz, in which they ridiculed his wife Nicola on social media.
The exchange began with Nicola fawning over Romeo's ex-girlfriend Mia's Regan, writing "so beautiful Mia" with a sparkling emoji and a pink heart on her Instagram post.

Cruz took note of Nicola's accolades for Romeo's ex and mocked it in a new slideshow shared by Romeo only two days later on April 7, commenting "so beautiful Romeo" with the same emojis to insult their sister-in-law.

It is worth noting that Nicola's beautiful response occurred amid rumors that Brooklyn and Nicola are largely arguing with his family over Brooklyn's choice of lover, since they disapprove of his current girlfriend DJ Kim Turnbull—with whom he has been romantically associated since late 2024. According to TMZ, Brooklyn is concerned about Kim's "intentions" with Romeo because she is a former buddy.
Brooklyn and Nicola, who married in 2022, have not been seen at any family functions since 2024, and David Beckham has allegedly urged his parents to have a private gathering without Brooklyn and his fiancée for his father's 50th birthday.
When their demands were denied, Brooklyn and Nicola traveled back to the United States, despite missing the 2025 Met Gala and traveling all the way to London for David's milestone birthday.
However, a source told the Daily Mail that Kim is being used as a scapegoat because Nicola is displaying worrying "patterns."
"This has nothing to do with Kim and is entirely about Nicola. "All David and Victoria want is their son back, and they will be ready to welcome him at any time," the insider told the newspaper.
According to sources, Nicola has a habit of "starting an argument" before family gatherings and then refusing to come with her spouse.
"It seems Nicola doesn't like Brooklyn spending any time with the Beckhams full stop and is using his previous closeness to Kim and her getting in with the family as a reason to not be around them," according to a another insider. "She denies it, but Nicola has been manipulating him since their wedding. "The family, including the brothers, have had enough."
Even during their 2022 wedding, Nicola donned dresses from Valentino, Dior, and Versace, but none by her fashion designer mother-in-law Victoria Beckham.
However, in an interview with The Sunday Times, Nicola denied any wrongdoing, stating that Victoria's crew did construct her a dress but was unable to finish it in time for the wedding.
Other Mirror sources indicate that Nicola is the family's peacekeeper, with one insider stating that "Nicola encourages Brooklyn to see his family and is usually the reason Brooklyn does see his family."
"As parents, it's alarming that Victoria and David are acting this way... rather than discreetly confronting the matter. Victoria and David appear to be uninterested in finding a solution that works for everyone.
According to a source, "Brooklyn is really upset that blame for the rift has been levelled at Nicola."
With different sources providing differing perspectives, Brooklyn and Nicola's silence on social media rather than commemorating the retired player online appears to contradict Nicola's claims of being a mediator.
It is worth noting that Nicola commemorated her three-year wedding anniversary with Brooklyn online and paid tribute to her late grandmothers, but did nothing for her in-laws.
According to The Standard, Nicola's final online interaction with the family appeared to be at Christmas, when David posted about a turkey feast, which the younger couple avoided, but Nicola nonetheless recognized his beautiful message, adding, "We love you all so much."
Following that, Brooklyn and Nicola skipped David's pre-birthday celebrations in Florida with Lionel Messi and Tom Brady in April, Victoria Beckham's 51st birthday celebrations on the family yacht that same month, and David's 50th birthday party in Kensington—one of his three birthday parties held in the same weekend.
