During a recent interview with Us Weekly, the 35-year-old talked about the off-screen friendship she had with her Thunderbolts costars.
In this interview, John, who portrays Ava Starr, also said that Florence "led" the ensemble, much as her character Yelena leads the crew.
John-Karen spoke highly of the actress, saying, "Honestly, she's absolutely amazing."
She went on to say, "She really led [the] ship of this movie," adding, "She's incredible and so open."
Florence's efforts as Yelena Belova, a Black Widow, in the blockbuster film may be summed up by her own words.
The actress shared a lengthy Instagram post about her personal problems during the production.
She described her message as a "love letter to Thunderbolts" and to everyone who helped make the film.
She continued to elaborate on her experience as Yelena, saying, "This is just my love letter to Thunderbolts* and all the individuals who produced it. This film has been spoken about since we finished shooting Black Widow six years ago."
Later in the article, she revealed that she had developed a "emotional connection" to the film, her character, and Yelena's background.
