Kate Middleton and Prince William protect their kids away from things that are bad for their physical and emotional wellbeing.
The early years of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis were mostly devoid of technological devices.
The Prince of Wales said in an interview that they strictly prohibit their children from using phones. "It's crucial that we sit and talk. We're pretty stringent about not letting any of our kids use phones," he remarked.
Instead, the royal parents encourage their kids to participate in sports and outdoor activities.
While Charlotte, 10, likes ballet and netball, Prince Louis, 7, especially loves trampolining.
George, their 12-year-old oldest, enjoys playing hockey and football. According to Prince William, it is crucial for their growth to keep them occupied with sports and the outdoors.
He also talked candidly about how his parenting style has been influenced by his parents' 1992 divorce. He emphasized the value of providing his kids with a stable, happy, and healthy home setting where they feel loved, protected, and secure.
"For me, the most important thing in my life is family, and everything is about the future and about if you don't start the children off now with a happy, healthy, stable home, I feel you're setting them up for a bit of a hard time and a fall," he stated.
Although it is believed that senior members of the royal family use cell phones, they are rarely spotted doing so in public. Drawing on his personal experiences as a father, Prince William has voiced worries on the effects of excessive screen usage on youth.
"Even adults are guilty of it. Additionally, we need to improve our phones. He stated, "We spend a lot of time on our phones," when visiting London's OnSide Youth Zone.
