Harry Styles' third studio album, Harry's House, won the Grammy for album of the year on Sunday.
For his third album, Harry's House, the pop icon won the night's most coveted category album of the year.
While accepting the prize from Trevor Noah, former anchor of The Daily Show, Styles burst into tears, obviously unable to control his joy.
"[Expletive]," he smiled, "this doesn't happen to people like me very frequently, and it's so great."
In his address, Styles thanked his other nominees, including Beyoncé, Adele, Brandi Carlile, and others, for being a continual source of inspiration for his work.
"Man, every musician in this category with me has been so, so inspiring," he remarked. "When I'm alone, I've listened to everyone in this category a number of various times in my life."
He had previously won the prize for Best Pop Vocal Album earlier in the evening.
But it was Styles who received the golden statuette.
"On evenings like this, it's certainly crucial for us to realise that there are no bests in music," he told his colleagues.
In closing his acceptance speech, the star thanked the Recording Academy once more, stating, "This is really, really lovely... This doesn't happen very often to folks like myself, so thank you very much."
On Sunday night, Styles was nominated for six awards, including record and song of the year.
Harry's House was No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for two weeks, while his smash tune As It Was was No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 15 weeks.
