Miley Cyrus has surpassed Adele as the most-streamed female artist on Spotify, with 79.7 million streams. At the moment, the singer-songwriter has only one song from her next album available. Endless Summer Vacation, the much anticipated album, is due to be released on March 10th.
Since its debut, the song has dominated the charts, spending numerous weeks on the Billboard Top 200 as well as the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. Charts.
Not only that, but the song now has three of the most significant global streaming weeks for any track since September 2020, when the Global 200 first began.
Plastic Hearts, the ex-Disney star's last album, was released in 2020, a year after her divorce from her husband and well-known actor, Liam Hemsworth. Bad Karma ft. Joan Jett, Never Be Me, and Midnight Sky were among the album's most successful tracks.
Dolly Parton, Miley's godmother and industry great, recently remarked about her current hit as well. "I don't know who authored that, but I have a hunch she had a lot to do with it," she said in an interview with US Weekly. If not her real writing, it was her tale."
The song's writers include Miley herself, Gregory Aldae Hein, and Michael Pollack. It was published on January 13th, which also happened to be her ex-husband Liam's 33rd birthday.
