Prince Harry confesses that Prince William was extremely distraught on the day of his wedding.
In his book, the Duke of Sussex recalls his elder brother being dissatisfied with his lack of involvement in planning and decision making.
"I was astonished when I went to pick him up in the morning and he looked as if he hadn't slept a wink," he says. His face looked emaciated, and his eyes were crimson. You OK? Okay, okay, OK. He wasn't, however. He was dressed in the bright red Irish Guards outfit rather than his Household Cavalry frock coat uniform. I was wondering if that was the case.
William was furious because he didn't have a say in what he wore on his wedding day, according to Harry.
"He'd asked Granny if he might wear his Household Cavalry uniform, but she'd refused. He had to wear the Number One Ceremonial as the Heir, she said. Willy was depressed about having so little influence over what he wore to his wedding, about having his autonomy stripped away on such an important day. "He'd expressed frustration to me countless times," Harry recalled.
