Actor Nicholas Cage, who just participated in a cameo in The Flash, has spoken out about his role as an alternative version of Superman.
Cage remarked of his participation, "I was really happy to do this cameo," while expressing his unrealized ambition for a larger role.
"Well, I was glad I didn't blink," Cage stated in an interview with USA Today. It was the sensation of becoming realised for me. Even seeing that look for that particular character on TV was fulfilling," but he also lamented the fact that his role was so brief."
The actor disclosed to The Hollywood Reporter that he was set to play Clark Kent in Superman Lives, but the movie was scrapped.
Following the success of Burton's Batman films, the actor was set to play Man of Steel in the aborted 1998 project Superman Lives.
According to mid-day sources, Cage has finally received his opportunity to play Superman in The Flash. The cameo is notable since The Flash made a spot for a DC feature that was eventually shelved.
Fans were taken aback by Nicholas Cage's appearance, and many thanked The Flash for providing Cage the opportunity to play Superman.
