According to a royal observer, Prince William has attempted to ensure that his eldest son George has a clearer idea of his destiny.
Monique Jessen, a royal critic and journalist, stated that the Prince of Wales's destiny was never outlined to him as he grew up.
William was allowed to make the "troubling" and "traumatic" realisation on his own.
Ms Jessen, on the other hand, feels William has set out to prevent the same thing from happening to Prince George, who turned 10 over the weekend.
In an interview when George was just three years old, William stated that he would one day explain where he belongs in the universe, but his objective at the moment was simply to love him as much as possible.
"There will be a time and a place to bring George up and understand how he fits in, in the world," he told the BBC in 2016. But for the time being, all I can do is establish a safe, stable atmosphere around him and show him as much love as I can as a parent."
Ms Jessen believes William and Kate have talked with their eldest son in light of this.
"I believe [George] is now [aware of his fate]." "I think that's a conversation that has definitely happened," she stated on the Royally Obsessed podcast, which was broadcast last week.
"Also, I believe William found it quite traumatic when he was grown up and everyone expected him to know, and that realisation and dawning was quite troubling for him." He'll undoubtedly want to do things differently for George."
Broadcaster Jeremy Paxman recounted William and Harry's late mother Princess Diana spoke to him about her son's future and how he was uncertain about taking on the top role in his 2019 documentary Paxman on the Queen's Children.
"We talked about our children, and she said William frequently told her that he didn't really want to be king, and then Harry would say, 'If you don't want the job, I'll have it,'" he added.
