In Canada, soccer great David Beckham, his son Cruz, and actor Austin Butler formed an unlikely alliance to remove a fallen tree that was blocking their route.
The event occurred as David was travelling to Texas to watch his co-owned football team, Inter Miami, in a Leagues Cup Round of 16 match against FC Dallas.
Victoria Beckham filmed the event in an Instagram video. "Did you ever think you'd see Elvis and Beckham lifting a tree?" she joked in her caption. Helping the Muskoka community. Gentlemen, I'm amazed! VB kisses."
Victoria playedfully recounted the event as the tree-clearing operation unfolded: "There's a tree that has fallen down, and look how manly my husband is." David appears to be a macho man. "Come on guys, push harder."
David's voyage proceeded to Dallas, where he and his colleagues dined on regional fare at Lou's Barbeque. Victoria also captured a surprise interaction with a star-struck employee, who informed David, "I'm a huge, huge fan." That's why I came to America in the first place: to meet him."
David got a gift containing wrapped beef brisket, which he proudly displayed to Victoria as she videotaped him. He remarked that it was his first time in Dallas.
He later posted a photo of Cruz standing in front of a sign for Blu's Barbeque & BBQ Catering, which is only a 15-minute drive from Toyota Stadium. Beckham captioned the photo, "'When in Rome, go big or go home...BBQ.'"
David had driven his squad from their temporary home in Fort Lauderdale to Toyota Stadium for the Leagues Cup game.
