Elon Musk, who relaunched Twitter as X lately, has teased users with a new feature on the microblogging service. On Friday, the billionaire uploaded a live video that included some X workers, garnering 4.9 million views. In another tweet, he said that the live video function was now operational. Users may stream live footage by clicking on the blue camera logo. Musk revealed another innovation the day before, allowing verified users to download videos from the network provided the content producers who submit them let it.
"Live video now works reasonably well," Musk said on X, alongside a screenshot of the camera icon.

Within the first two hours of Musk publishing it, the announcement had over 3.5 million views and over 40,000 conversations.
The news came after Musk and his office colleagues went live on X for 53 seconds yesterday night. At the time, the billionaire had not revealed any details about the planned film.

In response to one of the comments, Musk stated that the functionality will need to be refined further.
Musk unveiled another new feature for X the day before, allowing users to download videos. Only verified users, however, will be able to download these films from content providers who allow them to be downloaded.

Musk has taken up the position of product and engineering leader at X as part of his ongoing Twitter makeover.
On July 23, the billionaire announced the change of Twitter's blue bird emblem to a simple X, as well as the company's name and domain address. The update was quickly reflected on X's iOS, Android, and online editions.
Musk is escalating efforts to make X "the everything app," from monetising verification ticks to delivering new features practically every week.
Musk stated in July that the platform's monthly users had reached a 'new high' of 540 million.
