Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appeared to adopt a fresh tactic to dispel any speculations regarding their marriage, profession, and links to the royals.
Following weeks of mounting criticism, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex appeared in a collaborative video released on the Archewell Foundation website, in which they personally congratulated award recipients from the Youth Power Fund advisory group.
The video has been described as a "comeback, do-over, reset, or fightback."
In her analysis of Harry and Meghan's film, royal journalist Daniela Elser remarked that everything in the movie was "as transparent as a vigorously cleaned Kensington Palace window."
Elser noted in her comment article for News.com.au that the day the video was released, a cover Story on People Magazine alluded to the pair planting "highly sympathetic stories" about themselves.
Elser also believes that this is a method for people to forget the now-famous statement made by a Spotify official about the pair being "[expletive] grifters" shortly after their podcast arrangement with the audio streaming giant was terminated.
The latest video, in which they appeared happy and coordinated identical attire, also came amid reports that the couple was going through a trial separation.
Following the unfavourable exposure the pair has had in the last month, the royal expert pointed out that the reports that are now coming "detail a life so idyllic and a couple so effortlessly charming and happy it's a surprise people don't need sunglasses to be in the same room with them."
