Apple's iPhone 15 series is set to go available on September 13. The smartphone series, which might comprise four models—the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Max, and iPhone 15 Pro Max—has been circulating for some time. Recently, numerous tipsters have claimed that the iPhone 15 Pro versions would have more storage capacity than prior generations. They are expected to begin with 256GB of storage, as opposed to the 128GB of the iPhone 14 Pro variants. More storage choices and more capacity for the top-tier model would justify reported price increases across the portfolio this year.
According to Korean blogger yeux1122, who cites vendor sources, iPhone 15 Pro variants will have up to 2TB of storage. This claim is confirmed by Weibo user Red Lotus Technology, who adds that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max would start at 256GB and go up to 2TB. The 2TB storage option will be the biggest available on any iPhone model to date.
In comparison, the storage options for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max start at 128GB and only go up to 1TB. Storage options for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB.
The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max versions are expected to be more costly than previous Pro models. Increased storage capacity would support price increases across the flagship models.
The iPhone 15 Pro is expected to cost up to $100 (about Rs. 8,000) more than the iPhone 14 Pro, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max is expected to cost $100 to $200 (approximately Rs. 16,000) more than the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Pricing for the basic iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus devices is likely to stay consistent.
The iPhone 15 family is expected to be unveiled on Wednesday, September 13. The new lineup's pre-orders are set to begin on September 15.
