Taylor Swift stunned a local food bank charity with a generous contribution last month during her Eras tour performances at Lumen Field in Seattle.
The contribution, characterised as "incredible," was donated to Food Lifeline, an organisation that supports food banks and programmes throughout Western Washington.
This extraordinary gesture from the Maroon 5 singer will benefit hundreds of families in the region.
Food Lifeline thanked the pop diva in an Instagram post on July 26th, recognising her unexpected and much-appreciated donation.
The organisation said, with a montage of Taylor Swift photographs, "Secret songs weren't the only surprises Taylor Swift dazzled Seattle with this weekend."
"Through a generous donation, she is assisting thousands of Western Washington families facing hunger."
"Double clap and huge thanks to Ms. Swift for her incredible support, and we wish her all the best on the rest of her Tour!"
"They've asked us not to share the number with you," Food Lifeline spokeswoman Mark Coleman later told KIRO 7, "but I can tell you that the donation will provide several thousand pounds of fresh fruit and vegetables to our more than 400 food banks across Western Washington."
The 33-year-old has a reputation for offering help to those in need, having been named the most philanthropic celebrity for four years in a row.
This generosity has been persistent, with a special emphasis on assisting persons throughout the difficult times caused by the COVID-19 epidemic.
