According to a former royal butler, King Charles III will not be able to enjoy the summer as he wishes.
Because of his position as the monarch, Paul Burrell believes the 73-year-old will have to change many of his normal activities in August and September.
Mr Burrell, speaking for Slingo, said, "The King is going to find it very different this year because he's now a monarch and things have changed."
"Last year, he could do whatever he wanted, go wherever he wanted, and there were no constraints," he added. "This year, he's monarch, and he'll have to receive his government red box every single day, wherever he is, just like the Queen did her entire life."
Mr Butler went on to say of the King's plight, "I think he's going to find that difficult because now he has to work, to some extent, every single day of the rest of his life."
"It's a big shock when you've been waiting, it's a big shock for him when he's been waiting for this job all his life and now he's got it well, he's chained to it," he said.
"Like the rest of the Royals, his summer vacations will never be the same again." The lesser Royals can basically do whatever they want, but the King and Queen cannot. So their lives will alter, and their time will no longer be their own," he said.
