Meghan Markle has to support Harry's 'own objectives' for their marriage to be successful

Meghan Markle is being asked to back Prince Harry in his new job endeavours.

Sally Baker, a senior therapist and relationship specialist, feels the Duchess of Sussex should applaud her husband, who is on a philanthropic trip to Japan.

"Harry, who has arrived in Tokyo alone, deserves to achieve his 'independent goals," Baker continues.

"Harry may have felt obligated to follow through," she observes. While the optics of Meghan flying alone aren't great in the middle of rampant marriage allegations, we don't know what private talks Harry and Meghan have had about this. Perhaps they both decided he should leave."

"In any long-term relationship, partners must occasionally support each other's independent goals [and] work regardless of what is going on between them personally," she says.

"This could be one of those times," Ms Baker observes. Many couples benefit from time apart since it helps to rejuvenate and enhance the quality of their time together."
