Chris Evans revealed why he didn't turn down Ryan Reynolds' invitation for a surprise cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine.
The actor spoke with People on the opportunity to reprise his Fantastic Four character Johnny Storm/Human Torch in Marvel's largest crossover film, which is now playing in theaters.
"It was a couple years ago and I got a text from Ryan, we're buddies," Evans told me.
"He just said, 'Listen, if you don't like this concept, no problems at all. But I have something that will truly bring the house down and allow you to portray a character from your history."
The Ghosted star explained why he jumped at the offer.
"I mean, honestly, I'd do whatever Ryan requested. He previously gave me a terrific cameo in Free Guy, and I absolutely trust him," he said, adding, "So the opportunity to play Johnny again was too good to pass up. I loved it. It was wonderful to shoot, watch, everything."
Evans played Johnny Storm/Human Torch in the Fantastic Four films from 2005 and 2007.
