The HMD Barbie Flip Phone was initially introduced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona in February, capitalizing on the excitement produced by the Margot Robbie-starred film. While the device is planned to arrive on August 28, nothing is known about it. However, it has been seen on a Chinese certification website before of its global debut, revealing some of its features as well as the much-anticipated look. It is supposed to have Barbie's trademark pink colour palette.

The primary screen may be a 2.8-inch TFT panel with a resolution of 240×320 pixels, while the outer panel may be a 1.77-inch TFT screen with a resolution of 128×160 pixels. According to the description, it may be powered by a single core CPU clocked at 1.05GHz, with 64MB RAM and 128MB storage. The storage may be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. It will include a T9 QWERTY keyboard.
In terms of optics, the HMD Barbie flip phone will allegedly include a single back camera with LED flash. It might be powered by a 1,450mAh battery. The device is believed to be 108x55x18.9 in size and weighs 123g. According to reports, connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-SIM capability, Bluetooth, and USB.
