On Wednesday, Samsung unveiled a new initiative aimed at sharing knowledge of its sophisticated smartphone repair expertise with service centers across the world. As part of the effort, the South Korean electronics giant is sending business professionals to other nations to teach new gadget maintenance skills. Last month, the tech behemoth dispatched an instructor who specializes in Galaxy devices to India to help staff acquire these tactics. In the future, the business intends to extend this knowledge to smart TVs as well.
Samsung Announces New Program to Improve Smartphone Repairability:
In a press release on its Korean media site, the firm announced the new project and stated (translated from Korean), "Samsung Electronics Service is exporting its world-class service capabilities internationally. This year, Samsung Electronics Service started conducting the 'Domestic Service Experts Overseas Dispatch' program on a regular basis.
The plan targets the discrepancy in repair service quality in South Korea against the rest of the world. According to the corporation, these worldwide service capabilities will focus on repairs and client consultations in order to improve user experience.
As part of the scheme, the tech giant sent a "Galaxy service expert instructor" to Samsung Electronics India. The teacher visited eight major service centers around the country and offered his experience with the teams who worked there.
The instructor's primary goal was to convey expertise of single-piece repair to India's mobile screen repair center (MSRC). This service center is the largest in the country for repairing single-piece smartphone displays.
Samsung emphasized the technique, stating, "Display unit repair is a sophisticated repair method that disassembles the display unit, frame, battery, and replaces just the essential parts. High-level technical expertise and specific equipment are required for display unit maintenance. Similar progress has been accomplished in many other nations.
Samsung also intends to broaden the programme's emphasis beyond smartphones to include other devices. The business plans to deploy a home appliance and TV service professional teacher to the Philippines next month to train local personnel about AI-powered gadgets.
