Kate Middleton has a big surprise in store for her admirers as she prepares to make a comeback.
The Princess of Wales, who has taken a leave from her public royal duties to get preventive chemotherapy, revealed her cancer diagnosis in March of this year.
Despite her ongoing rehabilitation, Kate, who has made two public appearances since her announcement, is already preparing her first worldwide trip to support her husband Prince William, a source has disclosed.
According to the insider, the mother of three has quietly and joyfully planned a trip to New York City in September for the Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit.
"Kate is very excited to be getting back into the swing of royal duties," a source told Life & Style.
Prince William is enthusiastic about his environmental work, and his support for the cause "means the world to her."
According to the source, the couple may go without their three children, allowing them to rest together.
"They've been craving the chance to get away and have some fun, so this serves as a perfect opportunity to do just that," they told me. "Being away from the kids and holed up in a ritzy hotel will be a treat, plus they love New York and its energy."
Kate also joined the royal family for their annual Balmoral vacation, the Princess's longest travel thus far during her rehabilitation.
While Kate would require medical permission for the major trip, she and Prince William are "hopeful" about it and "looking forward to forget the pressures at home."
