Taylor Swift and Disney are surprising Austrian fans by providing them the opportunity to see the Eras Tour concert DVD for free, following the cancelation of her Vienna gigs due to a thwarted terror threat.
Disney has teamed with ORF to show the film Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version) on Austrian television on August 10.
Additionally, Disney+ is providing a free 7-day trial of its Premium service, allowing fans to access the film beginning August 10.
This follows the postponement of Swift's concerts in Vienna's Ernst Happel Stadium on August 8-10 due to the arrest of two men accused of plotting an assault on the festivities.
A third suspect was apprehended on August 8.
The concert producer announced the postponement of Taylor Swift's Vienna gigs on Instagram, citing safety concerns following the arrest of two individuals in connection with a planned attack.
Omar Haijawi-Pirchner, chief of Austria's Directorate of State Security and Intelligence, subsequently said at a press conference that one suspect admitted to preparing "to carry out an attack" using "explosives and knives" to murder himself and a significant number of others at the event.
The singer-songwriter has previously stated that one of her "biggest fears" is an assault of this type, despite the fact that she has never postponed a show due to such threats.
