The iPhone SE 4 is rumored to be released next year. Ahead of the launch, a fresh report claims that Apple Intelligence would add artificial intelligence elements to the cheapest non-flagship iPhone. According to the source, this will not be the only upgrade for the smartphone. The forthcoming iPhone SE model is said to sport a design similar to the iPhone 14. Furthermore, the device will allegedly include an OLED display and a single 48-megapixel camera.
Reportedly, the iPhone SE 4 will include Apple Intelligence
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reported in his Power On newsletter that Apple may release the iPhone SE 4 in early 2025. This will support an earlier rumor that said the Cupertino-based tech behemoth is considering a Q1 2025 debut date for the non-flagship variant.
According to the rumor, the forthcoming iPhone SE model may also receive significant enhancements. The most significant enhancement is supposed to be the introduction of Apple Intelligence capabilities in the smartphone straight at launch. While the list of AI functions that may be on the device is unknown at this time, it is thought that some features that rely heavily on on-device processing may not be included.
According to Gurman, the smartphone's design language might be comparable to that of the iPhone 14, with an OLED display reaching "across the full device". Previously, a rumor said that Apple might adopt 6.1-inch Super XDR screens for the iPhone SE 4. According to reports, some of these panels might be taken from iPhone 13 screens that LG Display is repurposing. This is considered a cost-cutting move by the corporation. However, a major percentage of the screens are claimed to be made by BOE Technology.
Aside from this, the iPhone SE 4 is said to include a single 48-megapixel rear camera. It might come with Apple's A18 processor and 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM. Other alleged enhancements include Face ID, a USB Type-C charging and data connection, and more.
