Meghan Markle displayed her delight as she supported Prince Harry during a pivotal moment at the Invictus Games' final ceremony on Sunday.
The Duke of Sussex received high accolades from departing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
He informed the enthusiastic throng of 12000 that the Invictus Games "would never have happened" without Harry.
"You are the one who turned this incredible idea into a reality," he told me. "As someone you roped in early in my time as Prime Minister, I can testify to the energy, the dedication, the commitment this man has to you and to this ideal."
As an obviously heartbroken Harry sat and respectfully told the throng to "sit down," the audience rose to their feet in applause.
The occasion seemed to affect his wife, Meghan, who uploaded a video clip on Instagram Story with a sweet note written on top.
"So proud of you," she said, adding an applauding emoji.
Later on, Prince Harry ascended the stage to give a moving address to conclude his beloved Invictus Games, which he started in 2014.
Despite leaving his top royal posts in 2020, the Duke of Sussex has remained committed to his vow to the Games.
"As much as we wish these Games weren't necessary, I understand why they are still needed, perhaps more than ever," Harry was saying.
"It is because of the strength you bring to the world. The power of your example. Your responsibility to one another. You may pledge loyalty to various flags, but you are connected by your decency, compassion, and spirit of service."
