On Sunday, Prince Harry concluded off the Invictus Games 2025 in Vancouver and Whistler with heartfelt comments that moved the audience.
The Duke of Sussex entered the stage during the closing ceremony at Vancouver's Rogers Arena, after outgoing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau praised him during his address.
Before beginning his speech, Harry began singing the first bars of the Canadian national song.
"You merely did it again. Did everyone having fun?" He began and went on to thank the organizers and officials.
The Duke went on to appreciate the "difficult and uncertain" trips that many of the guests had taken in order to attend the adapted athletic event and stated, "Thank you for showing us what is possible".
"In your efforts to preserve themselves, you have also saved all of us. "Those who love you and those who don't even know you," he stated.
"Being a hero, or a role model, requires more than simply perseverance, talent, and strength. It's all about integrity. Compassion. "Courage," he said. "You offer us hope via your healing, honesty, humanity, and, of course, laughter! You understand precisely what I am talking about. It's an in-house joke," elicited laughter from the audience.
"Our entire Invictus community, whether here tonight or watching from home, is making the world a better place, and you're doing it by being your awesome selves."
The closing ceremony also marked the official transfer to Birmingham, which will host the Invictus Games in 2027.
