Prince Harry is set to receive a big proposal as South Korea formally bids to host the 2029 Invictus Games.
The announcement will be made during the current Invictus Games in Vancouver, which might be the first time the event is held in Asia.
Vice Veterans Affairs Minister Lee Hee-wan will deliver the proposal on Sunday, heading a government team to the 2025 Invictus Games. If successful, South Korea will join the increasing number of nations hosting the sports event, which Harry launched in 2014.
Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex landed in Canada for the opening ceremony, but their children, Archie and Lilibet, remained in California.
The couple's next opportunity to bring their children to the tournament might be in 2027, when the event will be held in Birmingham, England.
However, the ultimate decision on whether they will attend is unknown, given Harry's current legal issues concerning UK security may play a part.
With South Korea's candidacy in the works, the Invictus Games might expand into Asia in a historic way, reinforcing its worldwide legacy.
