Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence has resumed his royal duties, appearing in public on crutches as he continues to recuperate from an injury.
The husband of Princess Anne was observed visiting the Science and Innovation Park in Wroughton, Swindon, carrying out his duties as head of the Science Museum Group.
The museum contains a variety of historical items, including a 1960s nuclear missile and Stephen Hawking's voice synthesiser.
In January, while working on the Gatcombe estate in Gloucestershire, Sir Tim sustained a suspected torn ligament. His disability precluded him from flying, so he had to stay in the UK for treatment rather than attend Princess Anne on her recent official visit to Cape Town.
Despite his injury, the retired Royal Navy officer is still actively involved in both royal and professional responsibilities, having started his four-year term as chair of the Science Museum Group in early 2024.
Meanwhile, Princess Anne has returned to Southmead Hospital, where she got treatment for a minor head injury last summer.
