Parker J. Finn, an American director, has just revealed that he plans to develop another sequel to his 2024 smash flick Smile 2.
The psychological supernatural horror film featured Naomi Scott and Ray Nicholson in the primary roles, along with Lukas Gage. Kyle Gallner, Dylan Gelula, and Rosemarie DeWitt.
Clearly, the filmmaker has not ruled out the possibility of creating a new film in the franchise; rather, he has revealed what he has in mind for when he decides to introduce a new chapter.
Parker said if he does another installment, he wants it to be 'emotionally grounded' and organic.
In an interview with Collider, the 37-year-old said: "I think that if there were more directions for 'Smile' to go in, I'd want to make sure that it stays very thoughtful, sort of thematic, and emotionally grounded with characters."
"Because I think that's what makes the 'Smile' movies work and I want to make sure that it continues to be fresh and unexpected, so we'll have to see" , laughed Finn.
Smile 2, produced by Paramount Pictures, is based on Skye Riley, a global pop phenomenon who is set to go on a new world tour and begins to encounter scary and inexplicable incidents.
